60 minutes of Somatic Experiencing work. We will be feeling into, dialoging with, and resourcing, your body and its powerful nervous system. You might choose to sit in a chair, lay on the bodywork table, or find another position or set of movements that fit best for you, on any given day. You might choose to receive supportive, therapeutic touch. Release tension and strain patterns in muscles and connective tissues. Customized sessions may include relaxation techniques, neuromuscular therapy (NMT), trigger point therapy, myofascial release (MFR), CST or lymphatic work, as needed. Manual lymphatic drainage (MLD) may be helpful in reducing edema (swelling) following surgery, injury, or a period of general inflammation or stagnation. Some therapists also refer to this work as lymphatic detox massage.
